The Unknown War

I saw not tanks nor jeeps, not even a gun
Yet I was told a war had begun
The sun still shone so very bright, the stars lit up the sky each and every night
Yet I was told a war raged on
No soldiers wandered in the street
The fragrance in the air was very sweet
Yet I was told a war raged on
I heard no anguish or screeching cries, for a moment I thought maybe I was hearing lies
Yet I was told a war raged on
It wasn’t until it was my turn to die
Then I heard the loud battle cry.
Now I see the war that rages on….
This war is not man against man, and not even a country taking a stand,
Now I see the war that rages on
What I see is darkness not light
The evil spirits in this mighty fight
Now I see the war that rages on
No one told me I was a soldier in that war
Therefore I never had the chance to be a victor
Now I see the war that rages on
This War you may not see right from the start
But it begins within each individuals heart.
The victory or defeat is up to each one
It is a long hard battle, but it can be won
Now I see the war that rages on
I wish someone would have taught me the “Truth” back then,
I could have made a choice how my life would end
Now it is too late for me as I burn in this fiery hell
But for those of you who are still alive, I just have to tell.
Stop the war from raging on
Before it is too late and you leave the earth’ sod
Grab your weapon THE MIGHTY WORD OF GOD
